Shorts for reach, long form for monetization purposes. You can use AI if you want especially if you train it on specific voices and it will cut your workload in half.
 
Shorts are greatt to grow channels but for monetization it's shit. AI if well used is ok
 
I'd recommend starting with both Shorts and long form content: use Shorts to grow your reach and discover what resonates with viewers, then consistently publish quality long form videos to build a loyal audience, increase watch time, and achieve sustainable growth.
 
Start with shorts (that's what got me the most subscription like 200+ from a single video, faceless gym niche.)
 
Start with shorts to build the algorithm habit and learn what content resonates fast then repurpose the winners into longform. Use AI to speed up scripting and ideas but always add your own voice and perspective, that's what actually builds an audience.

short form is appropriate for experiment nd for reaching an audience quickly, but I would opt for long form when building an audience. AI is helpful for quick editing and research but the content needs human touch.

to me beginning with a mix of both is the most logical step to take. while shorts will allow uh to see which subjects people like long form content will enable u to forge strongger connections with ur audience. AI can be an excellent tool in assisting with ideation, research nd saving time but in the end, the content must have ur touch.
 
If you’re starting fresh, I’d go with Shorts first to get quick exposure and understand what works. Use AI for ideas and scripting, but keep the content feeling human. Once something clicks, expand into longform.
 
You have to know that to grow your page, shorts are very important but for monetization, long form is the best. So basically you are going to need the both of them to succeed
 
Use ChatGPT/Claude/Gemini to find ideas, write scripts, and potentially add content ideas that reflect Gen Z trends.
 
I'd start with Short to figure out what people enjoy, then focus on long - form content to build a loyal audience ;)
