YouTube will ask for ID Verification to monetize a channel

So basically, they will ask for your ID scan... yeah right, no thank you. What are you going to do? They mention some also questionable alternatives. I do not want these big corporations with my face on their archives. The can fuck off. Of course, this will also be a problem if you have multiple channels, and like to diversify with a few AdSense accounts. Let's see how things develop with this.

As far as revenue, this may wreck certain channels. 99% of views on the entertainment niche are under 18. Luckily this nonsense only applies to US citizens for now.

People already record themselves holding a sign or in specific positions, to open crypto accounts etc so they will certainly do the same if yt ask for it. That's a shame people send their whole identity to private conpanies. One day or another data always end up leaking.
