YouTube viewers engaged..but no conversions

I have had my YouTube channel for just over a year on the eBay niche. My videos act as a support group for casual and expert eBay sellers. At the bottom of my videos and onscreen I direct users to a link where I keep my ebook product. The problem is very few viewers click the link. I've filmed 33 videos and between 2-3 hours of video are consumed everyday. Last month 5,000 minutes of video was watched, I get between 66-100 viewers per day, retention rate is between 39-50% per video and I get a lot of engagement and interaction with my audience asking me for personalised eBay questions.

What am I doing wrong. Why wont they click my link? All constructive suggestions appreciated.

You don't have any subscribers, and real subscribers are people that click links, buy stuff and etc.

As said above you don't have any subscribers. You'd look better if you had some as you'd come across as a more authority.
Marketing online is perception, even if you can't do it yourself let others believe you can.
Something worth looking at to get subscribers that are safe for youtube is https://www.subscribertrain.com/
Free or paid it works as i have used it myself.

I just looked hard at your video's that you have published,
i enjoy the videos there nicly done but unfortunately
your not promoting your own link within the video
your not interacting with you audience even thu we no you can not see them
You need to add your own adverts from time to time
telling them about your book to get click views and subscribers

apart from that you need to be more cherfull and
try to have a good old giggle as you tell your audience
how to do stuff

at least your trying and trying will be success
in the end....

will cause interaction

(( if you had a cartoon running across the
screen printing your book url will increase
clicks and traffic, and you gigling and smileing
and story telling other stuff you heard on
about there problem, your get subscribers
For interacting with your video lookers ))

always have solid evidence from ebay rules to produce
from what ever subject your personally explaining may come up from a lawyer
incase you have law suit to ansaw to....

Hi the subscribers are genuine because they sometimes add me to Google+ and send me private message. Or do you think they're freebie seekers?

Thanks. I've read so many horror stories of people getting their channel banned so I'm trying my best for only legitimate organic subscribers .

Thanks. I really put a lot of effort and research into my videos. All my advice is true and genuine and I try to be as informative as possible. I think you're right I need to balance it with some more cheerful content too.

On my older videos I had the logo of my URL displayed throughout the video and conversion didn't increase. I'll try what you said about a moving graphic instead

How would you recommend I interact with my audience more. Prizes and competitions perhaps?

Here's my tip

1] Try ranking your video for specific Keyword; this will increase your views and ultimately clicks
2] Promote your link in the video at the binning and at the end
3] Use Video annotations !

if you read the faq for subscribertrain you'd see it's legit and you wouldn't get banned.
Yes you can grow organically but you've already proved that's not the case with you as you have asked for help to - er grow your subscribers.
People follow people, nobody want to be the first. Get some subscribers then others will follow, it's called seeding your account.
