Youtube video ripped?

Hi Ive tried for a good few hours now, and I cant seem to suss this out, basically what im trying to do is ive found a vid on youtube, that i want for my squidoo landing page. The vid has this guys affiliate link at the end, so I need to download the vid, cut his affiliate link out then re upload it to my squidoo. when I say i cant suss it out, I mean ive tried various programs, that dont work, and yes I tried windows movie maker, which was total crap.
Any suggestions please?

try avidemux or mediacoder

also, try to convert it in avi with the codec huffyuv so you can work on it better

for a quick fix , you can just capture it using camtasia , of course it will have to be in real time, then from camtasia you can edit it how you like and reencode as you see fit.

Use this to download the video directly from youtube

then camtasia to edit out and insert your won watermark/url.

I am surprised that Movie Maker didn't work out for you. I tried it few months back and it seemed decent to me... Ah well you can try the other options given on the page...

Movie maker works great, or you can use any number of like thousands of free programs, just do a search on download.com
