youtube video ranking question

So I know how it works...but I still have one interesting question...
If your video's key word sucks and it is not ranked, what is better
1)simply rename video and reedit description and wait - will it works???
2)reuplode the same video and rename and reedit description and wait - it is working 100% but what about the 1st

main point is, that after my channel where I simply reuplode people videos was banned, and I lost 20k subs and 200$per day revenue, so I decided to start again with youtube, I created new channel and start to produce my own content with my voice, but I understand, that my KW are really sucks, so what is better to do with existing videos? try to edit their named and description? or it will not help me to rerank to suggested videos?

Just re-edit your video descriptions, titles, and tags. YouTube will re-index the video.
