I'm just wondering if any of you can give your thoughts on what you think Youtube take into account when deciding which videos will rank 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc. Do you think Google now use a similar sort of algorithm that they do with Google.com such as links pointing to the video? Here's a few things that when using common sense, think what Youtube use: - Subscribers (the more subscribers then surely, the more interest the channel and video clips have?) - Comments+Ratings (excluding imbedded views) to views ratio. A lot of views but low comments/ratings won't help in the importance. - tags (pretty obvious - perhaps the tags that are entered first get more weight) - Title + Description: Like Google use for websites, they take into account the words used in the video title and the video description. - Links pointing to the video clip. What's your thoughts on the above and anything to add? Cheers in advance.
