Has anyone tested the optimal length for creative videos? If the video is too short, the creative idea will be cut out, losing its original meaning; if it's too long, it seems like customers won't have the patience to watch it all. This is a very frustrating issue. What is the ideal length?

The ideal length for creative videos typically ranges from 15 to 30 seconds for maximum engagement, as this duration balances conveying your message effectively while keeping viewer attention.

hhhmmmmm. There is a magic optimal length? Like if you have a crap video but as long as you make 4mins and 20seconds, then the algo will love you? lol

Sure dude, wake up in the morning and believe what you want. Just don't put your beliefs ahead of your creating content game.

The most important thing is whether the content is compelling or not. If the content is good and your channel attracts many loyal followers, then whether the content is short or long is no longer important. Focus well on the content and find a loyal audience, and you will succeed.

For YouTube, many creators find that the best-performing video length is 6–12 minutes. It’s long enough to fully communicate the idea without losing viewers’ attention. Shorter videos often feel incomplete, while longer ones usually see a drop in retention unless the content is very engaging. The sweet spot is a focused video with a clear structure and a strong hook in the first 10–20 seconds.

There is no one size fits all. It’s niched based. Get off the forum and start testing.

I feel most videos work best around the length where the story stays interesting.

Shorter than 30 seconds risks losing the concept, and longer than 2,3 minutes usually drops viewer retention. The key is to deliver your idea clearly, as quickly as possible, without cutting the essence.

I’ve found that the sweet spot is usually 15–20 seconds because it keeps attention without losing the core message. Longer formats can work, but only if the hook in the first few seconds is strong enough to keep viewers watching.

Sometimes splitting a big idea into a series of shorter videos works better than stretching one long video.

Finding the sweet spot really depends on your audience usually keeping it concise while fully conveying the idea, viewers engaged.

grab attention in the first 3 seconds, deliver the core idea quickly, and only extend if the story truly adds value. Too long = drop-offs; too short = confusion.
