Youtube username

Hi,

It looks like Youtube randomly provides the new or old page for the username during the channel creation. Does anybody know how to force Youtube to give the new username page ?

Click on your name - youtube settings - advanced. There you will see the option for creating a username.

at doxis - The new YT layout has indeed made it tricky to get a username. Please don't slant newbies for having a valid query.

right I can see this option, but I would like to avoid the old username with the format ".../user/my_username" and prefer the new format type "...channel/youtube_generated_username". I have an average 70% with the new format and 30% with the old format type. I can't find a way to force Youtube to always provide the new channel page creation with their generated username, it looks to me that they randomly or selectively do it. I am not sure if it is possible to force it, maybe some youtube experts accounts creator know how to do it?

i honestly dont think there is a way around this one but i will keep trying!

I think yt name can not be changed, why not put a picture up above the video?
