I'm pretty new to youtube. I just uploaded a video last night and it had 38 views today...is that normal? I mean, there's nothing special about this video. Unless someone was looking for "fat girl hula hooping in high heels talking too damn much", I'm not even sure how people managed to find the video. Does youtube have something that shows the new videos?

The majority of the views are most likely from yourself since it's before the 300 freeze point.
I watched it once today. I'm not sure how that happens.

In that case perhaps you have some good tags, there's a ton of things that are searched on youtube. Try scaling it up to 300 a day now, and so on.

once you get more traffic you can look at the insights for the video and see where the traffic is coming from. also some people use search filters for keywords that find results only for that day, that could possibly be where your results are coming from if they slow down in a day or so.

No. I just made this account for experimenting and fun. After hearing about some people's success with uploading tons of videos though, I'm probably going to give it a go soon.

Higher than usual in just a day for something "not so special". But YT has got some crazy traffic and when you work with "volume" you'll notice it happens every once in a while to hit some "lucky spot". For some weird yt algo a video with some kw will get 5 views and another with the same kw will get 50. At times it's the way it gets linked to the other videos, so it might end up being related to something else that got viral / semi-viral hence you're higher exposure.

It's normal, that's because you have a good title/description/tag which is related with your keywords.
Cool. Just got access to a VPS with a video blaster on it. Downloading 401 videos now and ordered 110 pva accounts off fiverr. I'll see what I can do tomorrow as an experiment. If I suck, I've lost $5 and a bit of time.
