Youtube top comment after G+ update?

Getting like for the comment usually pushes it
up to the top.
In my experience, after I have given a useful or insightful comment people start giving it
likes and then my comment will be the first one they see and they will like it which creates a snowball effect.
"Viral" comments can get your channel more exposure than people realize.

I don't think just liking the comment works anymore. I have tested and it doesn't move the comment up to top. I believe accounts commenting and liking the comment need to have good activity and be in good standing to boost the comment to top, but I need a way to automate this

I have automated liking a comment and it seems to push it to the top. (have to have an attached g+ account though)

may be you have very good acc i.e subscribing , video views etc and your comments automatically go on top !

I just started posting on youtube again, just to add opinions, some times I get a few thumbs up.
As far as I can tell, they are on the top where they belong.
I almost feel the comment system works better for natural posters such as myself, it seems my channel gets more views now, as well as the vids themselves.
My parody channel has only about 40 subs and by vid count is pathetic, but never the less, posting on other peoples vids, when I get thumbs up, seem better now over all, for my pathetic channel.
However, I do not know if other people see my comment at the top as I do.

The new YouTube comment system has made it more than "a little uncomfortable" to get "top comment". Essentially, top comments aren't even a thing anymore. If you're logged into your YouTube account you're just going to see the "top comments" based on who you're subscribed to/who you have in your circles on G+. The "overall/general" top comment has ceased to exist unless you explicitly tell YouTube to show you "all" comments instead of "tailored" comments. It's very inconvenient.
