No this is verification like on Twitter where you get a checkmark beside your username.
It has nothing to do with pva or monetization.

I think this is complete bullshit. I just saw some tweet where having 200k+ sub still their verification has gone. Youtube wants to know how famous you are in the outer world. In one word, it's for the celebrity now. If you are an actor or actress or any player, then you will get the tick mark.

My friend who abused the Google plus verification trick is still verified at 10k subs (he got all 10k simply from commenting while verified). Lol
So basically there is no way to request verification anymore? That means the lucky ones are verified today and their badge just became a lot more valuable. RIP

Actually when i saw your thread i remembered that you are not the only Youtube Channel that it happens. I saw other Youtube ussers that have the same problem. I hope you can get your account verification back ASAP. Good luck.

Yep, lost mine as well. YouTube has been annoying me for years, but this is the push I needed to diversify out into different methods. I do everything absolutely legit and still get caught up in their stupid decision making. I have 0 trust left in them at this point.

Im fuming, I have 100K+ subs and was stoked to get my verification checkmark and now they're taking it away. Anyone else facing this issue? Already submitted an appeal. Hoping for the best
