YouTube starts auditing video views

About this line : "YouTube said it will now "periodically" validate the views on videos and remove the fraudulent ones from the total."

Might be better, if instead of deleting videos youtube just doesn't count the views.

Yea thats what they are doing. Just removing the views. I was drip feeding also at like 800-1k per day.

BS this is YouTube attempt to scare people.

Youtube's always trying to mess with our shit. Somehow there's always someone still providing views, even after repeated and constant updates.

Like some of the other guys have said above, I think this will mainly hit the big players like musicians, major channels, actors, etc. Finding fraudulent views is definitely hard (unless you guys know how they could possibly do this) especially if the views are high retention views.

I think Youtube is just mad that their views are being monetized outside of their control ;)

true or not i have one video stucked on 301 for days and not moving

the views im getting are real so i dont understand it

Those who think it's all talk aren't looking at what has happened. A huge number of YouTube sellers are out, even recent attempts to code new solutions are getting patched and in many cases videos banned.

The problem is when someone comes up with one code, they then let resellers in who will sell to anyone, then a huge number of crap vids show up high in YouTube search and other pages and it shines the light on what is happening.

The other side is most of the resellers come here or other forums and sell, openly. And seriously, you don't think YouTube would send someone in to buy , aim it at a specific video on a specific server and identify the method? Then bang another method is gone.

There is of course too a lot of talk among the guys who have created the solution, that there is a mole in the midst, someone is tipping off YouTube. And they way things have gone over the past 3 months I suspect thats true.

The reality is the days of 50 cent per thousand views is rapidly dieing - the open market place to buy views is quickly following.
The truth is, the whole system was abused brutally for a few pennies.

Google makes money off advertisers and the consumers who click on the ads. As a content creator slash blackhatter, you're just a supplier in their value chain, and they hold every possible kind of leverage in that relationship. The beatings will continue until the quality of the supply of content improves.

Good move by Youtube. This will ensure that only good contents are being shared on Youtube and not those with an intention for monetization.

Looks like its time to move the **** on. Yes it is sad, I used to make 20k+ per month selling views, but it kept dropping more with each month. now that figure is at 2k per month. Can't even pay mortgage with that. There is money to be made elsewhere. I think this is the last month that I will sell views.

I do agree dripfeeding less than 150 views per day will be the future of safe view selling. Doing so kept all my clients videos safe since december. But that means no more 50k,100k,500k view packages, but more like 1-3k. A decent income can only come with volume of videos. More volume = more headaches. It's just not worth the time and little money that will bring.

It's 100% a fake YT plan. I got all my views 100% completed. No other issues. So everything is good guys, don't worry.

Possible? Yes it is possible considering how Google can catch link structures and with a manual review
anything is possible. However that does not mean it will hit us or a majority.

This even happens to Reputed YouTube Channel Videos too ;) Give it sometime (Probably a Week, at most :P)
yeah my videos are good and get real views and youtube is doing this, then the videos wont go viral fast

Youtube is owned by google if they can mass sandbox websites because of their backlinks they can easily do it
to videos.

Yupp, but what I meant is that the views retention will play a big role in identifying boosted videos, and they don't have that data for videos uploaded and boosted before 2011 (or whichever was the year they introduced the view retention rate).

All fair points, but I think there's too much of a hungry market and too much money to be made not to think another Heisenberg of the web will come up with a new solution to sell to the views pushers :)

It's always a race to the bottom. My suggestion - if you have a unique way to do it, keep your prices high. And if you're really vicious, just release all the other "easier" methods to the public to ensure they get patched thus lowering your competition.
