with decent coding it would be easy to know which views are fake (bot) and which from a real user, and i dont think it has anything to do with how lomg a video is watched since those programs have timers for that to set up the time for the bots to cycle, but as said above its a cats and mouse game it might be cracked soon by some skilled coders some thiings YT could have done is to check where the host (ips) come from and if the viewing patttern looks natural or not, YT might not be making money but google is and since YT belongs to google, but still google hasn't found the right way to make good money with YT, and all those copyrights problems they get into costs them a lot too.

That can be verified by making a short 20 seconds video and see how the views are counted...
Actually it was stupid to count all hits, views should be uniques(from their point of view). Yes it sucks for you guys but it made no sense that way. The old way is just asking to be abused.

yeah i agree with you, I basically just said to only count each unique up to 10 times, no more.

Let me tell you how Youtube can make tons of money. They should charge EVERYONE that wants to view videos $5 a month, and they can view unlimited videos.
Those who don't pay can only watch like 10 videos a month.
They have what like 100 million members? Let's say 25% of them does this. Now they are looking at 25,000,000 x $5 = $125,000,000 PER Month.
End of story.

Those $125,000,000 Per Month are just off their users. Now imagine they incorporate Google's ppc crap in there and that's another easy $30 million Per Month.
Now you are at $155,000,000 Per Month or in other words $1,860,000,000 Billion A Year.
For those countries that can't pay like some parts of Asia, Africa, etc. then you don't charge them. Like I said this is 25 million users off their 100 million.
Youtube would be RICH, and they can make a deal with Universal Music Group,etc.

Well thats true; they will profit from that, and plus from the $1000's i was making from youtube a $5 fee wouldnt be so bad. Also it will help them with bandwidth costs

actually they gonna lose money because who is willing to pay the $5 /month? since there are many viewers who are kids/teen with no credit card or they live in poor countries where they wouldn't wanna pay the $5 youtube is gonna lose traffic biig time

bullshits i used tubeincrease right now on new videos just uploaded and views are increasing.
The point is if i try on old videos they will be not views increased......................................................................... i dunno what to think...

Yeah that's what I would like to know too. I increased my video and it froze at 204 or 201 views. Now I can't even manually increase the view count (used proxy manually, viewed my video full lenght, etc). Seems disabled for my video. Hopefully it's just a temporary ban
