Ive been getting this regardless if i change my ip address. Does anyone know how to get around this ...

Tube Automator actually told me this was the issue with why their software wasn't working for me and they are looking into it. Will let you know what they say!

yes but still doesn't answer the question...=)..is this for only US ip addresses?

I created two accounts yesterday and three the day before under a proxy using a VPN. Didn't ask me for SMS and I used proxies from FL, MA, CA and NY. I also used a proxy out of Germany. No SMS there, either.

So I really don't know. With these things, they're likely to roll them out randomly. I suspect we can look forward to more of this shit in the future though.

Pretty sure ur IP is main reason, I can make fine on my DSL and cable but my other ISP is grey listed I guess.

It seems hit or miss. Some times with proxy that will connect it will let me make a new one and other times I get the verification prompt again.

I've the same problem but Today I created a yahoo email @ymail.com and use that email to register at YT, and it doesnt ask for SMS

I know how you can make SMS go away.

You need to change your MAC address every 3rd account you make and also clear cookies with ccleaner.

Use this thanks butten if this worked for you.
