The quality on Youtube is rather hectic, mostly a hit and miss. Their Premium is cheap enough or even better, purchase a subscription for any music streaming service with better music quality. They cost like 10 bucks a month. I have Deezer Premium included in my mobile broadband plan.
Yep, i wasn't even aware that there are ads on Youtube until i used it on a machine, where no ad blocker was installed. I was like WTF.

On a side note: if you listen to Youtube on desktop, ad blocker browser addons can block those ads or at least they were capable of doing so, when i last used Youtube on desktop, which wasn't yesterday, so maybe this has changed, maybe not.

Any ad blocker addon should do the job. The two most popular are Adblock Plus and uBlock Origin. I would go with the latter, because it works faster, it's less resource-intensive.
what adblock are you using that removes the ads in youtube clips? i have a small memory that i have had one working like that for several years ago, but that they doesnt work
