Youtube Shorts: Views Get Stuck at 2,000

Hey guys! Recently I've been testing youtube shorts. My videos get recommended by Youtube after around 8 hours and are shown in the shorts feed around 2-4k times. This brings me around 2k views, as I have around a 45-60% view x swipe rate. The problem is that after this initial push and views, youtube won't recommend it anymore. My average view rate is 120% and I get around 10-30 comments for 2k views. What can I do to make youtube push my videos after this initial phase? I've tested with different channels I'm always able to get this initial push, but after it I don't get views or feed impressions anymore. Maybe my view rate is not high enough? In my opinion, it is, but I'm not sure what youtube considers a good shorts view rate. Check the screenshot. Any input would be appreciated!

Try creating slightly longer videos within the 15-60 second range. YouTube may prioritize videos with longer watch times, it indicates higher user interest. Also optimize your video descriptions
 
You need to rise engagement rate, likes, comments & shares. There are videos that uses something similar to Viral lists: like for X, share for Y... etc and they use it for X Vs Y stuffs.
You don't need to make all your videos like that style, but only few I think may help your overall engagement.
 
Trying to share longer videos may help you get more views, and also share your videos on other social media platforms so you can get more engagement. This can bring you more views too.
 
This means that intial 2000 viewers are not liking or sharing the videos. Thus the algorithm stops recommending it to more people.

Solution: Make more engaging videos.
 
All my new videos now get to 5.1k views and after that tank. But at least they evolved from the 2k mark.
 
I have the same problem, my videos are periodically watched 0, and the videos I post later are watched between 1.5k and 2k, I guess the algorithm doesn't like me.

There can be penalty on the channel. Try some new channel and see if the videos get higher views on that .
 
I'm not 100% sure how the algorithm works, but I did a test experiment with 10+ YouTube shorts. Some were stuck at 500 views, while others were stuck at 1.5k-2k views. I continued publishing, and the algorithm seemed similar for newer videos. It gets stuck, but publishing consistently can help get a good number of subscribers. Maybe publish more, so a portion of the viewers for the new YouTube short becomes interested and subscribe/watch your older shorts? I was reading Reddit forums about this and a lot of the info I got besides optimizing is to just be consistent. IMO - YouTube Shorts is just good enough for quick views + subscribers.
 
I faced a similar issue with my YouTube shorts. One thing you can try is to create longer shorts, around 1 minute or more. Also, focus on increasing engagement through likes, comments, and shares. Sharing your videos on other social media platforms can also help. Stay consistent and experiment with different approaches to find what works best for you.

Interesting, my shorts are really short LOL! like 10 secs top. I'll try it longer
 
IMO it's an engagement issue (I have the same).

If YT doesn't see the engagement it expects then it drops the content out of the shorts algorithm to make room for more engaging/ shareable content.

Long story short is that I believe that some content isn't suited to short-form video and may harm the visibility of associated longer-form content and channels.

Well my 5k video has 50 comments and 87 like. Watched vs swipe is 53%. I don’t think it’s an engagement issue. View retention is at 137%
 
I feel like sometimes youtube push randomly the shorts when I upload a video usually after 4 hours start getting views, first an through the week is bein displayed until disappears and then no more interactions and is always slowly building, other shorts they are promoted immediately but after 2 days stop getting views or reactions, so I just upload whenever I can.
