I saw a video saying that YouTube has created a fund to pay for viral shorts. What are the conditions and payment rates?

That is not true. YouTube is currently not paying for Shorts

But they are planning to. They have made the annoucenent as I saw in a Youtuber video. He did not give full details.

youtube has allocated money to the creators of shorts, but has not yet announced since when it will start paying

at moment the only way to monetize shorts is placing affiliate offers on link description

Did they state what type of videos will exactly be eligible for payment?

They said 100 million in the "fund" to pay for shorts.

You should NEVER rely on them for revenue

Yes. YT created $100M for the years 2021 & 2022. But no idea whether YT is paying or not.

YouTube is known for having cranky guidelines. If it's a fund and not advertisers money, be prepared for them to revoke your payment privileges anytime for "content not in line with our guidelines" bs. Personally I wouldn't get excited about the fund, unless you're a well established personality on YouTube.

That fund is very small as so many shorts are being created by millions of creators. Once they allow ads for all, it will result in more stable revenue.

Whether for YT Shorts also 1000 subs criteria mandatory?
