So, I have figured out that after 6-8h of uploading a short, Youtube pushes it for exactly 30 minutes and that is your time to shine.

My question is whether the performance during that first push impacts the later reach and if it does, how?

In my case I have been getting around 3-5k views in the first push.

I have been uploading shorts since Wednesday, and have uploaded 10 so far to one channel and from what I can see, all of them are getting the same kind of push.

No every Shorts-Video will be looked differently from YouTubes algo, no worries about that.

It doesn't impact much. Some videos get viral after weeks of posting so no worries about that.

Yeah, one of the videos got like 3k views when I posted it and after like 5 days it started getting 200 views per hour and it has been going on for 4 days now.

Yes every 2-3 days YouTube will push your content to viewers to get a feel of what kind of engagements and watch time it will get. If the video does good during when YouTube algo pushes impressions then it will continue to get that push. But if say YouTube pushes and it doesn’t get click thru and high retention and engagements; YouTube will no longer push impressions, as it views it as not good content. It will re try again in 2-3 more days.

That's the push chechking if the content is worth enough to get another push later, to in the end get a huge push that makes the short go viral.

with shorts is ok since their life span is really short, with regular videos since they stay there still a chance to get viral or even more traffic depending on the trends or how good is the content, shorts can help you to make people check old videos and have a chance to make them viral or atleast more traffic.

Yes, short's first push performance will affect its later reach. The possibility of your short getting additional reach later on increases if it has a lot of views and engagement during the initial push.

Yes whenever youtube pushes the video, the performance at that time decides the fate of the video.
