Hey guys I'm new here and have found this place to be awesome! Great community.

I got a question about youtube organic search results. Is anyone aware of how tube is ranking vids? Other than tags and title, is there a way to hit first page of the search for a given keyword phrase? Looking at the results it seems that they're all over the board in terms of views, comments, title quality etc.

Any input or suggestions from you guys is much appreciated!

Do you mean on Google or do you mean within YouTube?
 
On meant on youtube. Altho any ideas about getting vids to show up for their long tail in google top 10 would be appreciated too.
 
add a bunch of keywords in the description field, that could help
 
There is a report at DP on this topic. I will try to get it and share.
 
Views is not necessarily the number one factor. I've seen, and produced, vids that get to 1st page google with only a few views.
Keywords in the title, long tail keywords for the first few tags are helpful as well.
 
As far as Google goes, I have been getting videos in the top 10 for long tailed keywords. But it usually not always youtube that is placed there. It is usually blip, or livevideo, or something like that. I use video posting software and it happens sometimes in a couple of hours.

Link to your videos from multiple blogs. (different kw hyperlinks)
As stated earlier by others, use lots of LT keywords and LSI keywords in the description.
Use tubemogul or heyspread (free services) to upload to various video sharing sites

Its very effective and fairly quick

Does anyone of you got in trouble posting youtube video comments? I mean without getting success in posting it......
 
dam i've looked at 10 or more threads on this subject and it appears no one has a definate answer. Really amazing.
