Hi,

i would like to get some visitors via youtube.

Can you help me how long the description of each video should be to get good SEO results ?

Hi.

Longer - Better if unique. But with SEO spiders is ok if there are only bunch of keyword phrases. And don't forget Title and tags. Just search this forum YT section and you will find a lot info....

In my experience, 350 words would do the trick (original content of course)

As everybody already mentioned it is better to have a rather long description as long as it is unique and has your keyword(s)/keyword phrases included in it.

YouTube doesn't place too much weight on the description.

In my experience, its been more about the activity on the video, and the way it's tagged.

Personally I have found that a really long description isn't as good as a description of around 300 words. If you can get most of your keywords into ~300 words I would recommend doing that and not filling it up with useless filler content.
