Youtube SEO... any ideas?

Hey guys I'm always having my videos on youtube banned, probably by my competitors. Is there any way to use the all the SEO I've poured into getting my youtube url ranked high?

Would I be able to do SEO on a different page or something that forwards the link juice to my youtube page? that way I'd be able to re-upload a new video and just forward the backlinks that way? Is that possible at all? or am I just going to have to suck it up and just re do all the SEO work?

What type of SEO did you pour into it? Do you have a channel that has many subscribers? Is your accounts getting banned or just videos? Why are your videos getting banned?

I would say its more important to stop having your videos banned if you are actually putting SEO work into them.
 
Getting YT videos to rank is the same as normal pages. Just link them with anchor text. Works like a charm.

Now videos getting yanked is a different discussion. you need to know why they are being yanked...
 
well yeah thats what i'm talking about... backlinking with anchor text.... the ratings/subscribers i can't do anything about but I don't want to have to redo the backlinking... is there any way to route the seo through some sort of redirect page or something? I've read something in the past about doing seo through a 401 or 403 redirect page or w/e its called. Can't remember the details or anything though..

I think my competitors just keep flagging them as spam and stuff since I would be at the top for way too long.
 
no one's got an answer? lol... damn what happened to all the gurus over here? haha
 
if the competitions could flag you and have you be banned all alone then y0utube would be a war zone, sure they can flag you but in the end its the TY staff that bans you if you have broken their TOS its a matter of time and luck and to do SEO for your videos use your choice of keywords in the video title,description and tags plus you need views and backlinks you can have tat by bookmarking your video on book marking sites or use other services such as blog commenting,profile links etc...
 
hmmm well i guess i'll have to look into why they ban my videos then...

I guess the question i'm trying to ask though is: Can I transfer SEO from one url to another without changing all the backlinks?...

i.e. can i do my Seo on a domain which i own (D1) and forward the link juice (via a domain change redirect) to another domain (D2), which, if lost, can be rotated between a bunch of domains (D3, D4)?
SEO==>D1==>D2<->D3<->D4

Does that make sense?
 
Not an expert here but from what I undertsand google doesn't like redirects, so I think at the least it would detract from the link value.

As said above I would focus on stopping your videos from getting yanked if you can.

Google doesn't like certain kind of redirects, mainly the 302, if I'm not mistaken.

Stick with a 301 redirect, and you should be all set.

OP, I know that you can transfer "juice" through a redirect (301), so yeah it should make sense that you can transfer it to a video on youtube. It loses a bit of value, but should still help you get it ranked. Good luck, let us know your results.
 
I don't think its your competitors getting your videos banned. It might be but i doubt it. So the question is, why are your videos getting banned? That is the root cause and the main thing you should be trying to figure out. But, obviously you can not change the URL of the backlinks, but what you can do is redirect the old URL to a new one, like people above ^ have already said. Do a 301 redirect, of course it is not going to be as powerful as it used to be but hey, its still something. I hope this helps!
 
They arent porn videos or something else that's against YT rules are they?
 
Competitors banning your videos would be the least option because I am pretty much sure searching and banning videos would waste their own time. Maybe the problem is the video or they contains copyrighted contents.
