This reminds me of that scandal when Apple admitted that it deliberately slowed down older iPhones or something like that. Seems like Big G is trying to do something similar. :)

reportedly, if you use chrome + adblock it doesn't slow you down...
 
If you use Youtube on a browser and an ad comes, you can skip the ads by going to the previous page and going back to the video using the two arrow buttons on the top left/right of the browser.

Google can shove it with their 20 second unskippable ads.

Wouldn't also be too hard to create a small custom browser extension that does this automatically when Yt loads an ad server.
 
So far I've been able to use google with Ublock. All this has done is create an arms race between the creators of Adblockers and google.
 
they won't win this war adds are getting really annoying basically they are telling everyone one to use add blockers, yes or yess use it now! and add blockers are getting really good.
