I have a few videos that I've submitted that are getting views but are not showing up in the category that they are listed in. The videos will show in searches though.
Anyone have experience with this?

I've had the same problem with Google Video in the past. They took up to 24 hours on most of my videos to get approved and show. Once in a while, I would get lucky and the video would show immediately.

Since they own YouTube now, it is only logical to think that they're implementing their policy to other sites as well.

I've seen some of my online marketing buddies move over to less known video sharing sites because they don't have the same limitations. Unless you're choosing YouTube because of their monetization model, YouTube is just getting too crowded for my taste!

I've had great success with MetaCafe and Veoh

Those category pages run deep and new videos may only be shown on page 1 for a short period of time. I have never found a video that i was looking for in a category...there are just too many to sort through.

your search shows that your vids are posted and, this is the best way to find them.

This is just the way these things are organized.
