Youtube + Ringtone offer conversion rates?

Hello all,

I am thinking about creating popular Youtube fan videos of pop stars like Beyonce, Miley Cyrus, Eminem, etc. I would put my link on the description with an annotation with a call to action to click my ringtone link.

Has anyone here tried this? Or do you know anyone who has?

I was wondering what a reasonable conversion rate would be. Like
X conversions per Y views per month.

I think this method is pretty saturated. When looking at yt music videos, very much of them include links to ringtone offers.

Further, yt does not convert so well. I had an iPad video with about 8000 views, promoting a free iPad competition. 8000 views = 51 clicks = 3 conversions ....
