I've known this for 2-3 months. I have not used Youtube or any mass uploaders or something.

But when you download a youtube song/video, and open it in a HEX editor, you can see that youtube has watermarked it (hardcode or w/e)

This way they can delete fake/stolen/WMG video's very fast, they don't moderate each video, it's just a simple script which filters out the vids.

Unless you use camtesia or some screen recording software....

Do you want to profit from this? Make a HEX editor software to remove Youtube tracers

I haven't verified this, but I heard from a little birdy that all you need to do is convert the video to another format, like avi, and YT's branding is gone. You can check out the "branding" just by opening the downloaded video in notepad or word, its usually first thing in the file. Hmmm...

Thanks for sharing. Shouldn't be too hard creating a watermark remover, will have a look at this when I have the time.

Using a program to download the YouTube video then converting it removes all traces. I've been using a program like this for quite sometime and it works flawlessly.

Yes, true, but it really depends on what type of program you use and how you convert... some conversions can still have the watermark, while others clean it :lol:

and for that purpose i've just the thing for it. Its called "Freemake Video Converter" and
best part is that it converts videos to almost all formats and if you have faster computer
with some highend shit ..like mine then it can also use GPU processing to convert videos at faster rate.

Did i mention that its opensource.. 100% free.. just like CCleaner ?
