I used organic traffic and ads to rank for a keyword with approximately 100,000 monthly searches. I'm already in 15th position. The CPM is costing approximately 8 dollars.
very expensive bro8 dollars per 1000 views ?
8 dollars per 1000 views ?
that's a very nice retention, but the problem is that youtube doesn't count AD Views in the watchtime counter, so it won't help you rank or anything, you will only benefit subs this days from youtube ads and building audience!
How much do you spend per 1000 for your ad ? and is it targeted ?
i know it does not count to the watchtime required for ypp, but it should count as regular watchtime, also should help with recommendation. big music artists and inide artists most of them buy 1M+ ad views to promote themseleves. their vids also get recommended and also appear on home page. many people do the same and buy ad views. the rentention cannot be controlled, it depends on the viewer, if they give you high retention views, your vid can get recommended. it all comes down to the quality of ur video
it does not count towards ypp threshold, but regular watchtime yes it counts. after u r monetized the watchtime is still counted.
Watch hours gained through the following types of video do not count towards the YPP threshold:
- Private videos
- Unlisted videos
- Deleted videos
- TrueView campaigns"
if what im saying is wrong please correct me me provide me a source from google that says it does not count towards watchtime.
anyway this is the source from me which says it only does not count for ypp threshold..

Bro, when i tried google ads the lowest bid it shows was £0.01 that means for £1 i will get only 100 views.
How can we make bid lesser than that?
that is the "trade secret" of those YouTube Providers, to get lower minimal bids, they just open an ad-words account using other currency, so they get much cheaper bids for views,Bro, when i tried google ads the lowest bid it shows was £0.01 that means for £1 i will get only 100 views.

no bro, public watch time is public watch time, it's the same for YPP and for channel authority or any other need, google don't think it's FAIR that some will be able to "buy that for money"i know it does not count to the watchtime required for ypp, but it should count as regular watchtime, also should help with recommendation. big music artists and inide artists most of them buy 1M+ ad views to promote themseleves. their vids also get recommended and also appear on home page. many people do the same and buy ad views. the rentention cannot be controlled, it depends on the viewer, if they give you high retention views, your vid can get recommended. it all comes down to the quality of ur video

for example on GBP or USD the 1 cent is not = 1 cent of some 3rd world country currency...
1 Vietnamese dong = 0.000039 Euro, note that you can set the currency only ONCE when you open the ad-words account, you can't change it later.
i checked your link but where does it say that watch time coming from ads wont count to watch hours? yes i know those ad watchtime wont count for ypp threshold but im talking about the watchtime should be calculated.no bro, public watch time is public watch time, it's the same for YPP and for channel authority or any other need, google don't think it's FAIR that some will be able to "buy that for money"
so they don't count it in most cases, that is the logic beyond the conditions they added, please see here

- Views and metrics derived from views aren’t populated for non-skippable video ads.
- For TrueView in-stream ads running on YouTube, paid advertising views will be counted as public views on the video when one of the following happens:
someone watches a complete ad that’s 11-30 seconds long,
someone watches at least 30 seconds of an ad that’s more than 30 seconds long,
or someone interacts with the ad.- For TrueView discovery ads running on YouTube, paid advertising views will be counted as public views on the video when someone clicks the ad and the video starts to play.
im confused becoz it is still not mentioning that watch hours arent counted
