YouTube Partnership questions

So I was offered a YouTube partnership.

Couple questions - I know I can block certain advertisers from appearing, but can I block all ads from appearing?

Do YouTUbe partners get ranked higher in search results?

Do they offer the option to only have overlay text ads? I don't want pre-roll stuff.

The reason I'm curious is because I don't want ads to detract people from coming to MY site.

Yes you can turn off all advertisements. You have control over every video, you can have ads on video and none on the rest. You can also choose what kind of advertisements, like pre-roll, instream, true view. As for higher search ranking, I'm not sure. Don't really notice a difference with mine.

There is no official documentation that suggests higher search engine rankings, but the entire partnership program works much like Adsense. It is linked directly after all. This means that most of the functionality and options available to you via Adsense would be transferred over to Youtube too.

Don't you get higher search engine rankings and more money if you keep the ads on? Plus, the ads aren't that intrusive to begin with.

I'd keep the ads personally. It isn't all that big of a problem. I think most people can deal with it.

FYI, the pre-roll ads pay a lot more than the other ads.
