youtube now giving Copyright Strikes for uploading Trailers too

Yesterday I uploaded the our idiot brother trailer and got a copyright strike from "The Weinstein Company"
since when sharing a trailer can be a copyright violation ???
I mean seriously do these production idiots know anything about viral marketing or anything about youtube??

What do you mean by trailers "too"? In addition to films? I occasionally get content marked as copyrighted but it's not a "strike", they specifically say "content owned by so and so, no action needed".

Presumably Content ID and revenue sharing don't apply with film trailers?

e: I also just saw that Warner apparently is/was more pissy about copyright than Sony/UMG.
