Hey guys, just looking to get some info. What do you guys think about a local travel YouTube channel. It would be me going around making shorts or short films of local attractions. Stuff like world's biggest ball of yarn and haunted venues. I'm sure this has been done tons of times, but I'm not seeing much in my specific area, despite the budding tourist attractions. Just looking to get some thought. Any info if much appreciated :)

You can reverse engineer to look if people are actually searching for something like that
If there is search volume/interest then sure go for it

But the way you're describing it, there seems to be a good opportunity, no? A lot of local traffic but zero online presence? Seems great to me, but I'd still double-check the search volume

Make what u can and have knowledge at.
Its not like u can create whatever niche u want.
 
Came across few channels exploring locations that are not familiar its like a vlog trip but initially its very hard you need to research the possible number of locations atleast 7 to 10 for a good start
 
You will get log of views if there is no cuch content for your area.
 
There are tourists all over the world and it is going to increase only. Good niche with enough potential. Go for it.
 
I have seen many youtubers from my country succeed with this idea, for me you should try ;)
 
There's definitely great potential for it and it's a safe niche so you should have no problems with it. I'm just not sure how long it takes to grow a channel like this right now but you should be good.
 
If it's your passion go for it, just go with the flow money comes later just don't stop you will get there in no time...
 
there is a niche for that, many do that successfully in my country, most of them use Instagram though
 
It looks fine for me. If you are passionate enough to do it for longer period of time with consistency, go for it mate. No need to think much.
But if you are starting just because other people are doing well in that niche, then you will be in trouble.
