Youtube Niche Research

Hi, all.

So, for articles and sites, I know how to do niche research.

Youtube is a whole new beast, though.

Does anyone have any preferred methods or tools to sniff out niches that are worth getting into for Youtube?

Any insights or tips?

When i was working on youtube i actually use Vidiq to look the competition of the keywords but i like to do it manually and how i do it is i check the first 10 ranked videos , i check their channel age , title , description and keywords used and if the channels age is not that old and i see that some videos ranked recently and i also check backlinks used for the video ( i use SEMrush ). Youtube is generally used to upload entertaining videos.

But considering the current pandemic times of coronavirus, people are looking for videos that they can engage on. Where the movies, series are being watched for free, I have seen people also looking for particular niche of videos.

So, if I had a channel I would upload "How to" videos, DIY videos......this might help to grow in the current market.

It can include anything you want, making handicraft, creating a game, repairing stuffs, etc.
