This one is kinda controversial one it won’t be easy for them to push it but then again who knows what they’ll do

Man, google can push anything. They have entire department to justify their actions. I have a feeling this is ok feature if it comes out. I myself subscribe to channel and then forget about it.If i am not wwatching videos from certain channel its ok if youtube mutes it.
At the end of the day, content is king and we have to make great content.

Some channels that I used to watch everyday are not even being recommended to me anymore

A good idea, but used for unknown intentions
 
Interesting test! Seems like it mainly affects inactive channels, but hard to say the full impact yet.
