YouTube Monetization and money made before monetization

Hey, I currently own a channel with around 4k in ad revenue that has not been paid out yet. The channel is not currently YPP accepted and I just submitted my application.
Will this money be available to be paid out to me if I get accepted?

How do you have money in ad revenue without being in the YPP?
 
how do you know your ad revenue without YPP?
you need ypp first before getting any revenue

How did you get those funds, are they sitting there for a few years?
I had an old account that was previously on Adsense yet haven't been paid till I reactivated Adsense (youtube partner) and the money stayed on the account and paid out.
 
This is not possible. There is no ad revenue before getting accepted.

Where was the money being recorded and shown before you got accepted in monetization?
 
How can you make money before monetization ? It is just not possible.
