Hi,
I am noticing a lot of videos are having a huge number of views from a mobile device. I was wondering if there is a way of manipulating this to increase views on Youtube or if its just the popularity of mobile phones now that are causing this.

When i am seeing music videos that have jumped 50k views in 2 days with mobile device views makes me suspicious

Anyone know anything about this??

Thanks in advance

i too have noticed this infact a guy who had a featured video on yt had 47k mobile device views

Advertising on mobiles is still cheap, maybe they run ad campaigns for their youtube video, and the views still increase?

Yea, I noticed that too. It was maybe a good idea for programs to increase views.

I'd never thought of this until i read this thread then it just clicked. Someone should test it out, I might run a small campaign sometime later to see if it works.

Ok, I just set up a campaign, waiting for it to be reviewd. If it DOES get past review, I will update this post with results.

Thanks guys look forward to hearing the results
Can anyone recommend any good mobile phone advertisers i could start a campaign with?

I know of AdWhirl and InMobi I have yet to make an account though..

yeah I am very curious of how people able to get so much mobile device views. So do we have to pay for it?

You'd need to pay for advertising, like adwords - but we are unsure as to whether it works or not yet. I believe OP is carring out further testing, maybe he will update with results..

Have noticed and wondered about this also. Have a mashup with 10,414 views from mobile devices in 1 week.

Yes , it happens , but it is not any sort of cheating or bot , it is really views i guess , well correct me if i am wrong.

bro, you should delete this thread. ive been working with this, message me if your interested, but dont put this out in the open like this. not smart.

I'm hitting you with a PM. Been thinking about this exact topic for the last 6 weeks, with no place to find legit answers.

Vagex started a program where they offer mobile views via an app for Droid (and I believe iPhone). However, I tested the program on my phone and it didn't work properly. Essentially, it would view a video and then stop. It was not automatic. No matter how long I would wait, it wouldn't jump to the next video. They were pretty generous in the amount of "credits" that they offered to users. However, I don't have time to sit and manually view videos with the app.

This was nearly a month ago and I haven't tried the app since, so this bug might have been corrected. A glance at their forums, though, shows little talk about it except to note the aforementioned bug.

Should you be interested in it and have a Droid, just search the market for "Vagex" and it should appear.

BTW, I would be interested in speaking to anyone that can provide this. PM me if you have an option available.

hey have you found out anything on this

Any information would be appreciated.

I note more and more "views from a mobile device" on
some videos. The pattern does not look natural when
compared with other sources. Most videos I have found
are commercial.

something is going on, anybody have any idea. We need
all the tricks we can find!

Perhaps should try on other forums.
