Youtube knowingly monetising fake views

Just came across this article and thought someone might be interested in it

youtube recognises most fake views, but still charged advertisers for them. caviat: I don't know anything about using bots to make money on youtube.

Yeah but they still charge companies for them.

I think they charge from companies but does not count the adsense income for those views!
