YouTube Keyword Difficulty

If you have a channel that has 0 subscribers and little views and you want to use White Hat SEO methods such as looking for high ranking keywords with low competition, how can you do it for free?

I use keywordtool.io, but they want you to pay too much money to really get use out of their tool.


And I often question to myself if ViqIQ's keyword difficulty tool is accurate enough:


It's also frustrating trying to guess what the best keyword is and research the topic with limited tools available. For example: If I upload a funny cat video, I'd have to really, REALLY think and guess which keywords to use that the audiences are looking for that other competitiors aren't using in order to rank well. Is there a better way?

I started a new channel in Fall 2016 and wanted to make a video about college. I was playing around with the search bar and saw that "how to get into college with a low gpa" was a popular search phrase. But when I clicked on it NONE of the results had the title "how to get into college with a low gpa". Bam I made a video with that title and I ranked on the first page instantly and ranked #1 within a month. So look at the search bar suggestions for things and see if anyone has the exact title. If they don't then you can make it and you should rank well.

Well tools are just to give you a basic idea about the keyword and its best to stick with only 1 and not jump around on multiple else you will face loads of issues and confusions.
Follow the advice of the above guy its really a good idea.
