YouTube is adding new rules surrounding content generated or manipulated by artificial intelligence, including labeling requirements.

The Google-owned video platform announced Tuesday in a blog post that it will be rolling out a series of updates over the next few months, including requiring creators to disclose whether their content has been AI-generated upon uploading it, which will add a label to the video alerting viewers.

good one actually, or else there are a bunch of dumb channels coming up without any proper info just attracting thumbnails and no actual info relevant to titles just AI-generated stupid scripts, not even reedited by humans.

you can complain about it or take advantage of it. the ai.invideo is insane..
ive made 500+ ai videos so far automating chatgpt, invideo and canva. the content is 10/10 and actually watchable and informative.

With more and more AI tools coming out for various different things, its going to be harder to tell what is AI generated and what is not. Just a year after Stable Diffusion was released the quality is in an entire different league in terms of quality.

Its a better initiative. Though most of the AI generated contents are readily recognizable for an experienced eye. Its a long way to go for AI to develop that mimics the reality, the aesthetics of an artistic human created content. But technology is developing and developing at a very fast pace. Who knows, that one day we might not distinguish the AI generated and the real ones. And it will deprive the content creators, who does it the old fashion way.

It's nearly there already, just a few more improvements.

The results from 124 participants reveal that 66% of AI images were rated as human compared with 51% of real images.

The channel Sunday roast is killing it with AI content on Facebook (pretty sure the page owner somehow managed to automate the video editing, which is just a bunch of relevant clips based on the script added together).

It's actually a good way to advertise AI and SaaS tools that offer such service. Got nothing against it

They'll have a hard time soon enough. It's getting easier to clone any voice, automated video creation. Why would anyone place that label? It seems like another tool they will use to blacklist accounts to keep the ad revenue

Looks like a blend of invideo AI and human handmade editing.
 
What if the creator does not mention that video is AI created but still keeps posting such videos ?

Probably going to depend if it's just AI generated vs AI plugin for something. Using AI to automate film making in Unreal Engine 5 would probably be near impossible for Youtube to detect.
 
Wonder how long It'll take before text based content needs to be tagged?

I've already started using "Informational purposes only" on certain pages.
