Ok guys well Im new to all this and would like to see if you guys can help me out a bit. I created a couple of videos on youtube to promote the product I am trying to sell with clickbank. My videos are all made with power point, so in the last slide I add my hop link, I havent received much response to this, just wanted to ask is there anyways to add a link to it so that people wont have to type the hop link on their browser? thanks in advance.

you can try to make a blogspot account, then do a redirect to your clickbank page.
i think that would be a good idea. you can also use tinyurl (or something similar).

try searching the youtube marketing post, theres a guide how you can do that.

im also a noobie here, but thats what i think worked from the posts i read here.

You can add you link to the description box of the video AND make it live/clickable by putting it in the http://www.etc-etc-etc.com format.

If you're doing Clickbank stuff, it's BEST to use your own domain and forward visitors to the product. At the very least you need a Blogspot URL you can forward with, a TinyURL link, or a .info domain name.

The best way to go is to buy a domain name that is similar to the product you are promoting. One trick I've used is mis-spellings. Hyphens are good too, if you can get them.

So if the name of the Clickbank product is - www.BuyThisEbook.com - you could register www.Buy-This-Ebook.com or a mis-spelling like www.BuyThisEbookk.com

Hardly anyone will notice that extra letter at the end, and it's likely that YouTube's use of the "MORE" tag/button in the description box won't even make it viewable unless someone clicks "More".

If you're low on cash, one more thing you can do is to use subdomains. This way you can save money and just run everything off one domain. Your sub-domain would look like www.BuyThisEbook.MyFrickinWebsite.com. Again, with the "More" button in the box only those who click "More" will see the full link.

Plus most of the douches that use YouTube hardly pay attention anyway. Some just click, click, click on stuff.

There are some other things you can do, but I don't feel like spilling everything here just so some turd can copy it all into an ebook. No thanks.

I'll say this - the best way to learn is to search around YouTube and see what other people are doing. But don't just blindly follow, because 90% or so of the guys on YouTube who THINK they know what they're doing are actually doing some of the simple, basic shit wrong.

Once you find that rare 10% dude who knows what he's doing, you'll learn a ton.

If you have any other questions just ask. I'll answer, I just don't want to fucking ramble on and on and on. It's a bad habit of mine. back to work.

You can put a link in a Camtasia vid, but once you upload it to youTube that link won't be live anymore. In fact, I think they only way to keep it live is to output in .swf format using HOTSPOTS.

One way is to make sub-domains from free websites like cekurl.com
Just posting a tinyurl link in the description also works, I've made over $10K with my tinyurl links:)

punn had some great points. Link in description is pretty much mandatory. Inside of your video put a shortened URL. For example Visit mydomain.com/makemoneyonline (this way the URL is short and you can re-use the same domain if you want). I personally prefer to just watermark the whole video with my URL and use a fresh domain instead of a subdomain or folder. You can use any link cloaker or URL shortener to get the desired results.

Don't use TinyURL, use a link cloaking or shortener script from your domain. I don't think anyone is going to manually type in ***********/4a5josxi4j6se96

The best way to go is to buy a domain and hosting. Then watermark your video with that domain.

You cannot assume anyone is going to t-y-p-e in your link, so you have to put a link int he description box, and it should almost always, make that always, be the first thing in that box. Unless you are going strictly for SEO/SERP results, but I've achieved first page results by placing the link first, so it's not a big deal.

Also remember that some people won't be watching your video on YouTube, they will see it embedded somewhere else. That's where watermarking and a short, professional URL comes in to play. Although all they have to do is click on the video to go to your YouTube page, some won't.

The key is having a link that is LIVE - I see dudes with 100,000's of views and no live link.Ouch. Another tip is to make some sort of call to action. TELL people that the link is there and TELL them to click on it. People are sheep. TELL them what to do, many will do it. Sad, pathetic even, but true.

TinyURL will work. I've seen guys using TinyURL who look like they know what they are doing - ie doing everything else right.

All you do is go to ***********, paste your affiliate link in there, and then you'll get a shorter TinyURL link, like this - www.***********/1kz8

If you're on a budget with no domain and no hosting, TinyURL will be fine. But take some profits and invest in a domain down the road.

    Any other ??'s?

Also another tip, you can "watermark" videos you have uploaded already with the new annotations feature

Yep, that's a cool new feature. Perfect for getting more people to view to view your other videos too. I've just started playing around with the annotations feature. Trying to see what works and what doesn't in terms of cross-linking and cross-promoting videos.

For sure I will be investing on a domain down the road, just a quick question does it make a difference if I put my hop link on the description box instead of a tinylink? just curious.

Does it matter? No. Will it help? Probably.

Some people are averse to long, ugly affiliate links. Other people don't have a clue what they are.

It's likely that anyone who really knows affiliate marketing isn't going to buy something through your link anyway. I just always think a shorter link (even if it's just a TinyURL link) looks better and more professional.

I've always had the best success with promoting products by trying to look like the merchant.

The only time that is NOT the case is if you are doing REVIEWS of products. If you're doing that, you want to separate yourself from the merchant so that your REVIEW looks honest and truthful, and not like an ad.
