So Youtube announced beginning June 5th, all accounts are auto converting to the new channel design - even if it sucks the big one. Does anyone know if they mean that the conversion is automatic or the design is mandatory? If they only mean the conversion is automatic, we should be able to manually switch back to the old design. If they mean the new channel design is mandatory, we're stuck in crappy land until they come up with something new. As usual, Youtube is vague, ambiguous, and unexaplanatory...

I just need to figure out how to organize my videos properly, if you can that is. I don't want my "Popular" videos to show, just ever video. :o

Oh, and re-design the top banner. Shit. 8|

New design: More power to google corporation and less power to the actual content providers. With the old design the channels were a bit more separated from the rest and focused completely on the channel itself instead of competitors.

Personally I can't stand the new design, whatever happened to the saying "If it aint broke, dont fix it? Facebook in particular has forced so many terrible updates, I dont even know how to find anything anymore, the conspiracy theorist in me feels they keep making this changes on purpose to confuse users and keep them from protecting their privacy (facebook is very good at this). Anyways, end rant!

And to answer the question, I believe the new design's conversion is automatic AND it is mandatory/permanent.

Well, looks like most of you were right, the One Channel design appears to be permanent. They've removed the Switch Back option and all the big channels like Ray William Johnson, Ryan Higa, and Jenna Marbles have all switched over. So that means us too! I guess I'll learn to live with it until they figure out better cosmetics. Thanks for all the responses.
