What's the best way to promote a financial service on youtube? create a video and hope people watch it or post the links on comments and stuff?

There are several ways to promote your site with youtube marketing. You can also mass upload videos with a link to your website in the description.
You need to find a hook to get the financial community on YouTube commenting on and sharing your videos. Then promote the hell out of them. Or just use brute force video seo and use google traffic. Also depends on your value per signup. Several firms are blasting hundreds of $$ a day on adwords promoted videos and the youtube content network. But you need goo stuff for this to work.
When doing youtube marketing use as many related keyword terms as possible in your description seemed to work for me in the past haven't messed with youtube lately tho.
Can also create more then 1 video with easy tweaking and rank for different keywords.

-typically not much competition for videos in search
-Title and beginning of description contain keywords
2.Some type of friend requester/messenger that lets you harvest comments from similar videos
-This will allow to gain real users particular to your niche
-scaled to multiple profiles juicy leads baby
-send messages no more than once a month don't burn your contacts!!
3. Site or blog to site
-take time on both and only puts ads on blog NOTHING on your money site
-Give the client the information they want right away short and simple
-Back link back link back link
4. Engage in the youtube community
-Comment videos with good comments and get them rated so it stays as highest rated
-Use video responses to similar content (will get you in there with related videos)
5. Place meta content in you video when you edit
-It works best with corporate produced, like cc consolidation commercials from a company I used to get leads for.
Rinse Repeat
This will allow you to build good and solid informed traffic as long as you are making quality content which is very important. Also this is training wheels which should be scaled up and expanded after you get used to it. Good luck
