Before I start, be aware that this is gonna get a bit personal and talk about emotions and whatnot so skip it if you aren't into that thing. I am putting this into moneymaking because it will eventually get to that at the end.
Ok here goes.... I was raised in a very poor home with an abusive father who put us through hell and made us move every few months to escape the cops or mobs and whatnot. Not a great upbringing and to be honest, I barely remember any of it which my shrink says is a coping mechanism. Fair enough. My father showed everything I shouldn't be and I told myself that I would never be like him when I had my own family. Fast forward many years, my father has now passed by suicide and I have worked my ass off to make something of myself because my whole family, including the extended, is on welfare and basically have a trash mentality. I worked and worked and finally started making enough money to get out of poverty but my upbringing has messed with my head in a few ways which I struggle to break. For example, I never had any emotions even when family members passed away or something great or horrible would happen because, due to my childhood, I expect everything to come crashing down eventually so I don't emotionally invest into people or things. Even today, I have a house and a decent career and I am always waiting for that call that I'm fired and lose the house and I am always surprised that it hasn't happened yet even though I know that I am great at my job and people love me there. To those who don't feel like this, I know it seems very odd to you, heck it seems odd to me.
7 years ago, things changed because I became a father. A beautiful little girl who only wanted to be held by me. Everything changed, I stopped investing so much into my career and became a dad first. I started feeling emotions and then I had a son a few years later and felt fulfilled. My wife ended up getting sick and can no longer work but can't get any assistance either and I gave up investing too much into my career to be a dad so we found ourselves in a bit of a pickle. Thankfully, I looked online for ways to make some income from home and stumbled upon BHW. I found a moneymaking method that seemed fun and put in A LOT of work for several months/years to see if it could work, and it did! I started making some passive income and could now afford for my wife to stay home and to pay for my children to have activities like dancing, skating, etc. I still need my job to pay the bills but the methods I've used to far have kept us afloat. My children are growing now and it's going by so fast that I find myself asking for hugs knowing that soon enough, they will roll their eyes at me because they've outgrown it. My daughter has been in school for a few years now and she is shy at times, though we are working on getting her out of her shell. She is the sweetest girl and wants to be friends with everyone. So innocent.
This year, one of the worst nightmares for a parent happened, she started getting bullied in school. Name calling, violence and everything. I have been going back and forth with the school to protect her and the school is doing a good job and contacting the other students' (2 of them) parents to make them aware of the situation. While the violence seems to have ended, it has left my daughter in a somewhat of a sad state of mind because she wants to be friends with everyone but some of them brush her off. She isn't smiling as much as she used to, which is killing me... We speak with her a lot and do many activities with her to help her through this but it feels like it's going to be a long road ahead.
So why am I telling you all of this? Well, first of all, between all my work and my family, I just don't have time for friends and it feels nice to let this out even if I'm a stranger to just about everyone here. More importantly, my daughter came home a few weeks ago saying that everyone in her class plays Roblox and she wanted to try it. I put it on her computer and I let her play it on weekends or a little on weekdays if she seems to be feeling down. This morning, she said that she sees people playing on Youtube and that she would like to try it. I know a lot of people might not be a fan of having a 7 year old stream online but I wanted to see if she would enjoy it and maybe get a smile out of her just to try it. I have a decent setup for my work so I set her up on my computer, started a new channel for her and started the OBS recording and left the room for about 20 minutes so she could play and talk to the camera. When I came back in, she gave me a hug and told me it was fun. As she went to do things with her mother, I looked at the recording she did and for the first time since my childhood, I cried... I hadn't seen her this happy since the school incident. While she stumbled a little on her opening lines, she knew exactly what to say:" Hi guys, welcome to my stream, please subscribe and give me a big thumbs up!". I couldn't believe it. As she was playing, she was talking as if she had a ton of followers looking at her stream... As if she had a bunch of friends... I quickly put up her video on Youtube without telling her and during our lunch, I put the TV on and put on her channel. She was ecstatic and couldn't stop talking about it all night.
So here is where I need help from the community. I want her to have a shot at becoming something on Youtube. I know it's a long shot and she really doesn't have anything that hasn't been done before to offer the Youtube community but I want her to have a chance. I don't want fake followers or fake numbers, I want to try to find a way to get her in front of other kids watching Roblox in hopes that my daughter will make fans and friendships. I just don't know what is the best way to get her ranked without it costing me too much money. If anyone has advice, a guide or an affordable service, I would love to hear from you.
For those of you who read to the end, I appreciate you.
