Youtube Do Follow On Account Page?

I turned on seoquake and went to a youtube account page and noticed that the link on the page is not nofollow... Does google count youtube as a backlink since there is no nofollow tag there ?

The SEO for Firefox plugin also shows those account links as ****************. Therefore it's counted.

Yeah I also noticed this the other day. Can't believe I never realised.

And what's even more sickening is I just realised my old DJ account is PR4, and all this time I had my homepage link set to an old forum I used to goto! I noticed most of the PR juice was coming from my videos which had 100k+ views and my subscribers. I imagine the backlinks from the profile page hold a fair bit of weight.

the user keyword ranks good on low comp too

But aren't all Google sites meant to be nofollow ?

I don't think google will count backlinks from youtube.com because Google owns youtube.com

If there is no [ rel="nofollow" ] tag, thats **************** and counted as a valuable backlink. Maybe youtube removed nofollow from popular pages but as far as I know youtube is completely nofollow.

I think you can set nofollow on .htaccess I read once. Maybe youtube has that ?
