Thankyou, that was the issue, it takes a little for youtube to updateMight need to wait 1-2 days before coming to a conclusion.
Impressions update late.
So what are the results?Thankyou, that was the issue, it takes a little for youtube to update
yea my CTR is high. It takes youtube a bit to update. All you need is really good proxies and you can mimic real users to increase CTR/WatchtimeSo what are the results?
What are "good proxies"? How many IPs did factor in as a real view?yea my CTR is high. It takes youtube a bit to update. All you need is really good proxies and you can mimic real users to increase CTR/Watchtime

How long did you wait for the impressions? it takes a day or two to update. And i did it on a test video, just to see if the CTR would increase which it did. Are you using good proxies?Did you see an increase in ranking and/or search impressions?
I performed the same experiment and DID NOT see any increase in impressions.
Good proxies as in not abused by alot of people. and 1 proxy = 1 impression. Depends on the quality of the proxies. I have my own private dedicatedWhat are "good proxies"? How many IPs did factor in as a real view?

You said CTR and Watchtime improved? Well then it worked. What proxies are you using? What provider? Are they residential? The quality of the proxy is super importantI've seen no impact after 14 days. CTR and WatchTime improved, impressions have stayed the same (and in some cases actually went down).
they dont have to be residential, aslong as they are private and good proxiesNo need residential ips, only need private proxies for ranking. And a bot working well

Wait im confused, Im doing this for "youtube search" so all the searches I do will count as an impression. An impression is when the person sees your thumbnail.Yeah, but my point is that impressions did not improve even though CTR and WatchTime did. I'm only doing this to increase impressions and therefore increase views.
A better CTR and WatchTime is pointless if it doesn't increase your future views.
Did your Search impressions increase?

Ah I see what you mean now. Well it depends on your niche and what keyword you are ranking for. And ive been ranked 1st page for competetive keywords, and let me tell you them impressions skyrocket. Also with a high CTR/Watchtime your video will get suggested by youtube to users who watch similar content as yours. It really boils down to what keywords you are ranking for and whether you video is relevant with proper seo for that keyword, if it is then youll be fine. And yea ill provide screenshots later for you guysCorrect. I'm not talking about the impressions from our experiment. I'm talking about increasing impressions in general.
So the point of improving our CTR and WatchTime is to INCREASE THE IMPRESSIONS THAT WE GET IN SEARCH from people other than ourselves. We hope that improving CTR and WatchTime will lead to better rankings for our chosen keywords and therefore, more impressions from Search. Right? Same as in Google SEO - if we improve our site ranking from page 10 to page 1, we should see more impressions. Impressions x CTR = views or traffic.
I'm saying that the experiment we both performed improved our CTR and WatchTime but DID NOT increase Search ranking and impressions - it was the same as before. It was basically pointless.
Meaning that the Search algorithm must use many other signals to rank and show videos in Seach (I'm not talking about Suggested or Browse)
Can you look into your analytics and see if your SEARCH IMPRESSIONS increased as a result of improving your CTR and WatchTime? Or better yet, paste a screenshot of the Traffic Source section of your analytics (check Search only) and then highlight to me when you concluded the experiment so we can see if your Search impressions increased as a result.
