    Hi guys,

I hope there are some Youtube experts out there which may answer my questions.

I'm really in need of some work for my girlfriend. I thought about YT => Creating videos. We all know that compilations of: fail, cats, funny, etc. are getting a lot of views. I thought, with a little bit of monetization it could bring a few hundred bugs every now and than => perfect for my gf.

The problem we are facing currently: Where do I get the content? I heard about something like "Fair Use", where you can get snippets from other peoples videos and use it for your own. But I'd like to go the save way, because if there is any Copyright problem with the video, monetization through AdSense is disabled... Ofc, we don't want that.

Maybe someone can give me some tips on how and where to get the content for those kind of videos. (where I have the rights to use them for my own videos without getting troubles)

    Would appreciate any input.

    Have a good one!

if only it was that simple mate, every newbie is targetting that very same niche, its dead to the core, just search on youtube funny vines ect, use the uploaded today filter to see how many people are doing it, you won't get that much views for those niches unless you have a big subscribers base, if you want to go the funny videos, vine niche your best hope for getting views is to target social networks, fb ect... but that requires alot of efforts and you need to do it on a larger scale using bots

It is very saturated indeed.... With photos they have public domain dedicated and attribution, etc(Creative commons) so just do that for videos

    Thanks for your contribution.

I don't want to offend you, but that was not my question ;)

I'd like to know how to get the content for such videos...

none taken :) just head to https://www.youtube.com/editor?feature=upload and click the CC icon, those are the creative commons videos, you can search the keyword you want and use those videos for free, but honestly you shouldn't really worry about playing by the rules when it comes to that sort of videos as 99% of people just reuploading other people videosand they are getting away with it

    Hi there,

thanks for that info. Appreciate it!

You don't think I will get problems with monetization and Copyright if I'm using someone else content? (or certain pieces)

You should be alright. It mainly depends on how similar and the length of the content you snip from the other videos.

Not trying to bring your hopes down. Just want you to know my experience I've tried this when it is my first time to do vines compilation.

What i did was download vines on Facebook pages and edit it to remove the copyright thing, i successfully uploaded the video without any problem and turned the monitization on. After a week my videos got copyright strike. Vines are to competitive, maybe i got the strike due to i used unlisted method and alot of my competitors flagged my video.

If you get a copyright strike from youtube you can always fight it and claim fair use.
I think sometimes they are just trying to see if you're a real person and not bot videos.
Fight it you will be surprised.
