I have been experimenting with youtube commenting for some time and I think my findings will be useful for some of the users here. I don't know of a certain way to earn some $$ with it and I would be glad if you share something on that in this thread.

So basically, what I do is make a new channel, choose a debatable picture as my profile picture and choose a good username. Choosing a debatable username/DP helps, so be creative with it.

Now, what I have seen on recent Youtube is the fact that quality is always preferred over quantity when it comes to top commenting. So, my suggestion would be that you don't start spamming straight-away. Take careful measure if you are working with multiple accounts because Google is surely pretty smart detecting that.

The trick here is to copy ranked/controversial comments from popular videos and post them on other popular videos, whereever applicable. Don't get me wrong, but racist/hecling comments work best when it comes to youtube (most of the active youtube users are live example of douchbags :p ). Use some fake comment upvotes when you start, because you won't get too much visibility at beginning. After sometime, your comments will start to stick to the top and you will start getting natural upvotes.

You might get some comments saying your comment is copied and bla bla bla, just simply ignore them/ mark them as spam / tell them to GTFO. They won't be able to do anything to your comments.

As for example, see this comment from one of my fake accounts.

You will also gain natural subscriber with this method. Here's some stats from the same account, which incidentally do not have any popular videos posted.

Once your comments start appearing on top and your account is aged (atleast 6 months seasoning needed as per my observation), you can start using your account for doing IM stuffs or something depending on your method. Be warned, that do not spam too much or you will lose the authority if everyone starts flagging you. Don't post links. Instead tell them to search something on google or youtube or whatever.

Again, I would be glad if you share your thoughts on monetizing this method.

Take care

I get that douchey racist/homophobic, or otherwise moronic comments tend to rank cuz they get the quick laugh... but SUBSCRIBERS?

Sign of the apocalypse.

Basic premise makes sense, I suppose. Same as in any business. Generally easier to follow the trodden path.

Yeah, I figured that, saucy comments tend to get the attention and sometime upvotes. But my comments usually don't appear as they set the settings to disable new accounts from commenting.

so I am the First one to hit the Thanks Button. Thumb Up for this Method to gain quick and easy subscribers :)

That's nice for attracting the lowest common denominator to what you're selling, personally I don't want a bunch of racist fucks subscribing to me :)

Interesting & kinda surprising... But, why shouldn't we post links? No links at all?

Is it hard to write a comment on youtube? just a single line? Copied comments can be easily trackable, if your all comments are copied then Google can't ban you?

I may try with a fake account and let you know what happens to my account.

Yes, but your comments will ultimately stick to the top even when you are selling something. It will not matter what you have posted earlier, because the one who checks to see what you have commented elsewhere will not buy your product (or might chargeback even if they bought something). Hope that makes sense.

I tried posting some links but got an account "de-ranked" doing so (I suppose). As I have alrady said, I am not sure how to monetize it, but posting links isn't the way to go as I have found out. Do let us know if you find otherwise. That will be a twist.

Some people tend to like these comments too. They like your comments and subscribe to you too. A normal account would not have that many subscribers but you will surely get some.. Try it out.

It is not, but you do not know what will rank and what won't. You are trying to season the account so that your "marketing" comments stick. So, won't you try with the proven ones? That's the whole point here.

If you are good with these kind of comments go ahead and make your own!

By the way, google does not track duplicate comments on youtube (especially the ones which have been only copied for, let's say 10 times..).

HAhaha i can try myself with this but i didn't complete one and only request

#1. Im not creative at all.

Creating drama, trolling and insults also helps. On an alt yt account i started to offend people and got some results.

Yup those types work and will continue to work.

Yeah, I was wondering if can be done without being a racist troll.. like is it possible to do this by just making funny generic comments?

Thanks for sharing.

Of course it can be done. It'll just require a little more creative thinking.

Also I prefer Quality > Quantity.

This types of comments also work. Lets say I'm watching "Iced Earth - Anthem"
Then I would comment like this:
ICED EARTH - Anthem (OFFICIAL VIDEO)

For different songs, just add the title of the video, or add quality comment (helpful one), small portion of lyrics working great too. Good luck!
