just noticed that when a video finish to play, youtube switch to show the "Share" tab.
so the "About" tab with our spacial aff link/links is hidden...

Add your URL in your videos.
There was a thread about this before some days. Search for it.

Yeah, i just noticed it too and it sux a lil bit!

doesnt matter really

so now it goes to share options... which is good Why? so they can share your video!

Besides that, if your video is offering something and you TELL them its in the description.. they will read it anyway. People go to videos for a reason, if you dont say the URL, then people will LOOK for it.

I doubt this will hinder youtube for US marketers.

you can still add your links directly to the video, so it is not that bad

Well that's not the problem at all. They can simple click "About" tab again and get redirected to description lol. And i'm pretty sure that since they already clicked on your video, they will first check your affilite link from very begin. :)

That's true, most people will just click the about tab to see the link. But, there will be some people who don't bother, so I reckon some income will be lost.

How about adding 10 seconds or so extra to the video after its done playing so that the viewer as time to go to link in the about tab before the switch to the share tab happens? I think this would work also.

It is just bullshit .People that are interested in downloading anything ,they'll just go to the about section ..
At least i don't heard that people are seing all video if it's for example 7:30 minutes..

And what is wrong with adding the link TO the video? So that when they click a box (in the annotations) they get directed to your affiliate link?

Because..you cant do it..other than that..not much else. :)
You can click annotations for internal yt video links..but unless YT grants you an exception, charities etc..ya dont get clickable links out of YT.

I believe you can link to external websites if you're a YT Partner. Which probably excludes most people from using that tactic, or using it for very long at least.

I'm sorry we are talking about the same YouTube right? Of course you can link to other websites. I have a video doing it as we speak. Maybe it depends on the quality of the YT channel though.
