Youtube cash cows & AI spitting content

Hi. I'm thinking about trying the youtube strategy of making a channel with stock footage/images, a chatgpt generated script and text transcription. The usual uninspired stuff to hopefully have a youtube cash cow.

I have 2 question about this, though. First, are those vids still monetisable? (not a controversial niche, just an average one) and Second, among the sea of alternatives, what saas do you recommend to do this? ideally free, if not, not that expensive.

Lots of people have been doing it for years, now it's way more saturated of course, but you can still do it.

Will you generate/edit/publish your own videos? Otherwise it gets expensive quick with a video editor, a copywriter/checker, a voice over artist..

Yeah but that's my issue, I don't know if because of that saturation, now those channels aren't getting monetised.

I'll be a one man studio, I want to avoid extra expenses if I can do it myself.

I can't remember where I read, here or somewhere else, that youtube wasn't monetising those channels anymore. Maybe it was a Mandela effect of some sort, but I remember reading that. If those are still monetisable, I'd just have to find a good saas to create the videos.

The channels that upload those videos don't get the ad revenue, not unless they're bypassing the content ID.
Youtube by default is running ads on all videos now, even non-monetized channels. They keep the revenue for themselves and if a video is copyright claimed the revenue goes to the original rights owners.

So by making videos with that format but using content without copyrights, could I get the revenue?
 
You can still monetize them with ads & affiliate links. I wish generative AI in video kept up with text capabilities. Would've been so much easier to produce content in mass.

You mean like, sponsored ads? I've never had luck with affiliate links though, I try to avoid them and earn less with cpm methods, but at least it's stable money.

Better generative AI in videos would've been great. Unless you're familiar with python, it's so time consuming putting up even a "mediocre" AI video with generic footage and text in screen. Not as tedious as doing it in Premiere, but could've been so much more efficient.
