Not sure if it's ok to ask this, but also not sure why it wouldn't be ok to ask, (other than making my self sound stupid) so here goes. What would you suggest would be a good starting budget for a YouTube channel uploading twice a week?

Asking in regards to video editing software, good thumbnail creator, HR views, likes, comments and subs?
(Looking to rank for low comp kw)

Not looking for a seller, I'll go to the market place for that.

You don't need any money for the software and equipment. Forget about smm services like views and likes, nothing is working currently.

Free screen recorders?
Your phone to film yourself/outside?
Editing software : windows moviemaker
Thumbnails: search online or use YT's thumbnail tool
Rest: share on social media

Thanks for your input and advice :) much appreciated

You don’t need any budget to start but if you really want to invest you need to check around your niche and your keywords, some videos will take much more to rank. You should just focus on making high quality videos and good video SEO. I use Sony Vegas 13 (cracked) and I’ve loved it ever since I started.

I have iMovie but from what I've read on BHW nobody seems to be using it anymore, so I assumed it's probably not so great in comparison to others avaliable.
I have a good knowledge of SEO at the moment and always managed to rank videos for medium comp kw in the past (2016)
Those videos are still 3rd video on 1st page of the kw they are targeting.
I was getting around 3k organic views per video, BUT it was nothing in comparison to competitors in my niche, I got frustrated and gave up. (Back then I didn't even know there way a way or buying views without YT finding out)

Now I want to start over, but I've heard that in reality the only way to rank these days is using smm services as well as all the standard methods.
