ok I admit it I'm late to the youtube game. I'm asking this because I have heard youtube changed the ideal file upload format and would like to know what everyone is using?

I just got xilisoft 5.0 for watermarking and would like to know the best format to save them in :)

Also whats the best program to download a lot of youtube videos with?

thanks

When I download and reupload I download the files in MP4 format then use ImTOO MP4 Converter then format to .avi which leaves a file of 30-40MB and from there use Windows Move Maker to convert to a file of 10-20MB.

you can use videoget (shared in this forum) to download and encode to the format you want in auto. I think the best format is *.wmv cause it has best encode/quality ratio

I always thought Youtube said .mp4 was best becuase they are going to encode it to that anyhow.

mp4 btw OP, i was DLed xilisoft today but none of the keygens i found were working, can you hook me up where you got it or the user/license?

It's best to upload .wmv files because they are significantly smaller that others (mpg, avi, mp4 etc).

.mp4 with h264 codec for quality but the video size will be big

keepvid website is good sometimes for downloading sometimes it doesnt work somtimes its great its free
