Youtube Backlinks Question

Hey guys,

I'm a newbie to SEO. I've been doing a bit of research on backlinks, and I read that YouTube backlinks only count if the YouTube video is embedded into the page. Is this true? Or does it also count with a simple html link to the video's YouTube URL?

Actual they both count towards your video rankings on YouTube and Google .

you build links to your videos, just like you do to any website. rules and conditions are same
