I have a budget of about $1.5k dollars and I'm looking to reinvent it so I want to seek experts opinion on the better business idea between YouTube automation or AI generated blogs

I think you should go with the one where you already have some experience and have been involved with previously. This will help reduce the things you have got to learn and help you make money quickly.
Having said that, I think ai blogging will be more suited for a person who has coding knowledge and is more technical than YouTube automation. So my choice is YouTube automation.

do both, as they are both "automated" .
i would go with youtube bcs if you do it right u will start getting some money quickly compared to a website.

I work with AI Automation and have an AMA here - as well as a Journey - So I am clearly biased.
But even then, I'd suggest you to go for both - rather than one.
Site building is for everyone - Youtube isn't. Since you clearly seem to have both an interest and experience in it, I'd suggest you do a bit of both and see which gives you the best results.
Revenue generation with both methods is easy. However, your decision after trying both should be entirely dependent on which of the two methods you can scale.
But even then, I'd suggest you to go for both - rather than one.

My biggest challenge with YouTube automation is finding freelancers that are reliable and can worker cheaper

Yes finding freelancers is the most important part in YouTube automation they are the backbone of your business my suggestion would be hiring Intermediate Freelancers (eager to learn delivers a little extra to work later on you can increase their pay depending on work) this is the best method so far.

If I were in your position I would start with an automatic youtube channel.
I think it is "easier" to get views on a video than visits on a blog.

Youtube is costly if you want quality.
For blogging, Just buy few keyword research tools and ai writing assistant.
Write lots of low comp kw based articles. Give some manual touch. They will rank. After few hundreds of posts you will get clicks and visits. Then monetize it. Its a slow game. But you gotta start somewhere
